We thought it would be interesting to have a page where we all can watch a few different crops grow. We will have 9,000+ tomato plants this year!!! So, here we go with the tomato crop...

The tomatoes went under cover after this point at the end of April in both the high tunnel and out in the field. This keeps them warm on the cool spring nights and helps them be insulated and enjoy the greenhouse effect while out in the field.
Mid- May, they get uncovered....
And what is revealed under the covers are....
Tomato flowers which will soon be TOMATOES!!!!

Usually 2500 regular tomatoes (six varieties)... Plus two varieties of plum tomatoes, 20 varieties of cherry, and 40 varieties of heirlooms.
Our high tunnel tomatoes have loved their environment and are growing up beautifully! (Typical Mid-April Growth):
