What to expect at our early farm stand opening & It's the last week to take advantage of February CSA pricing!
As you may know, we are opening our farm stand early this year (at the end of April!) and are planning on increasing our plant selections this spring and summer. We will be bringing in locally grown annuals, perennials, hanging plants, and deck/patio containers.
As far as Annuals go we will be carrying old time favorites, such as, but not limited to:
- Impatiens
- Begonias
- Marigolds
- Petunias
- Vincas
- Zinnias
We will also be carrying Proven Winner Annuals, such as, but not limited to:
- Million Bell Petunias
- Wave Petunias
- Cascading Petunias
- New Guinea Impatiens
- Verbena
- Lantana
We will also have a nice selection of perennials, foliage, and tropical plants in addition to lots of wonderful local products (meats, cheese, pasta, spices, and baked goods) and our very own SIW jarred pasta sauces, honey, fruit butters, and more!

New this Year - Pick Up your CSA Any Day of the Week
We previously limited pick ups to Tuesday through Thursday, but based on feedback from our fans we're changing the rules so you can pick up your CSA veggies any day of the week (although we encourage you to stick to weekdays because the weekends can get crazy). The weekly CSA list is posted Monday mornings and the program begins in late June.
We urge you to give us a try if you've never tried a CSA. We think you'll enjoy it!

Time to Join the CSA!
Our CSA - Community Shared Agriculture, works a little different than most places so we encourage you to read all about it here but here's the Cliff Notes:
You come to the farm stand each week, beginning in late June, check out the board with the list for what's part of the CSA that week, select your own produce, get a discount on items we don’t grow, and can have all the free compost you want (actually we have a 100-ton limit, sorry). We post the CSA list Monday morning and you pick up your goodies any day of the week that works for you (although we encourage weekday pickups so you can beat the Saturday and Sunday crowds). If you decide you need more for your big shindig on Saturday night you get a discount on that too. Pay for your CSA before the end of February and save big $$.
There is an option to pay for your CSA shares via PayPal
(please note the 3% convenience fee).

We're Opening Early This Season!
Drum roll, please! You heard it here first folks. We will open the farm stand 2 months early this year, in late April, with bedding plants, produce, meats, cheese, pasta, baked goods, sauces, and other local wonderfulness. We're so excited to begin the season early and see all of you. Stay tuned for the exact opening date and hours.

Your favorite farmer and friends are planning a pop-up opening for a few hours this Saturday, February 13th. Stop on over between 2 and 4 pm to pick up delectable food gifts for the ones you love. We'll have lots of amazing SIW jarred goods including our pasta sauces, honey, and fruit butters. Gerald and Natalie will also have HG's homemade pickles, delectable candied nuts, and chocolate-covered strawberries available for purchase.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries are $15 per order and include dark and white chocolate covered yumminess.
