Our CSA – Community Shared Agriculture – works a little differently than most places so we encourage you to read all about it here.

 

The Cliff Notes:

You come to the farm stand each week, check out the board with the list for what's part of the CSA that week, select your own produce, get a discount on items we don’t grow, and can have all the free compost you want (actually we have a 100-ton limit, sorry). 

 

We post the CSA list Monday morning, and you pick up your goodies any day of the week that works for you (although we encourage weekday pickups so you can beat the Saturday and Sunday crowds). If you decide you need more for your big shindig on Saturday night you get a discount on that too. Pay for your CSA before the end of February and save big $$. 

There is an option to pay for your CSA shares via PayPal (please note the 3% convenience fee).

 

If you choose to pay via PayPal, you still MUST sign and send your 

CSA agreement through email or snail mail.

A Word from HG, Our Farmer, About Natalie & Gerald

I thought I should let you all know a little about where your food is coming from. The origin of the food is locally grown as much as possible. Personally selected by Natalie and Gerald and prepared In their laboratory of deliciousness. Natalie lost her executive chef job at the beginning of the pandemic and Gerald’s catering business “Eat Blvck” came to a screeching halt. Gerald continues to teach a high school culinary course, though virtual classes make it difficult. He hopes to inspire those young adults to pursue a culinary career after high school.

The pandemic has not changed their upbeat attitudes. This amazing husband and wife team have participated in barn dinners as chefs as well as guests (to spy on their contemporaries and friends). Smiles and laughter are plentiful. SIW and our customers have benefited from their unfortunate circumstances with many a lip smacking meal. For that I am grateful. Thank you Natalie and Gerald.
