A Word from HG, Our Farmer, About Natalie & Gerald


I thought I should let you all know a little about where your food is coming from. The origin of the food is locally grown as much as possible. Personally selected by Natalie and Gerald and prepared In their laboratory of deliciousness. Natalie lost her executive chef job at the beginning of the pandemic and Gerald’s catering business “Eat Blvck” came to a screeching halt. Gerald continues to teach a high school culinary course, though virtual classes make it difficult. He hopes to inspire those young adults to pursue a culinary career after high school.
The pandemic has not changed their upbeat attitudes. This amazing husband and wife team have participated in barn dinners as chefs as well as guests (to spy on their contemporaries and friends). Smiles and laughter are plentiful. SIW and our customers have benefited from their unfortunate circumstances with many a lip smacking meal. For that I am grateful. Thank you Natalie and Gerald.
